I just signed up for twitter a few days ago (twitter.com/skreened). I’m following gapingvoid which means that every little micro-statement that he makes through twitter, I see.

Hugh Macleod reposted a cartoon that has had a profound impact on me, and eventually shaped the values and vision of Skreened and why it exists.

Ultimately, the result of our lives, day in and out, is the integrity of our actions. Succeed or fail, we have to live with ourselves at the end of the day. I’m so thankful to have created a platform where doing that is not difficult.

We are here to find meaning. We are here to help other people do the same. Everything else is secondary.” the hughtrain.

When people choose to make a tee shirt with us, there could be a ton of reasons why they do it. We only print on American Apparel, which means you have the confidence of knowing that everything you sell or order is made in the US, without exploitive labor practices common in the clothing industry.

Maybe you like the colors or the set-up of the website. Maybe you really identify with the Skreened brand. But there are some things you might not know.

We’re not just selling tee shirts for tee shirts sake. Skreened, as well as being a business is an exercise in ethics, integrity and charity. Everything from the sustainable pricing, fast order fulfillment and democratization of designs are something to believe in.

We’re building an ethical financial engine to engage and change the world. We’re committed to giving to the poorest in the world through our gifts to Asia’s Hope. We’re committed to living better. When you partner with us, either in purchase or designing, or some other way, this is who you’re partnering with.

And that’s pretty exciting in my book.
